Oliver K Advocacy Work 2017 - Finnish Foundations
In the November retreat we discussed several options for advocacy work in 2017. I promised to initiate a small campaign that approaches a selection of Finnish Foundations that support art / culture / science projects. The aim is to encourage the foundations to support open licenses, to recommend grant recipients to use open licenses or perhaps make it even mandatory. As far as I know, none of the Finnish foundations are doing anything with open licenses at the moment, please provide examples if you know of any. In my opinion this is really a good starting point for advocacy work.

Tech vocabulary may not be very incusive. For people coming from different "working" cultures, the practices in the events may not seem very open (intuitive). Maybe partly question of the people's different needs for more or less structure.
 
Oskari L Aproach students from different universities using a "Open data and X"-angle, tell people how open data & knowledge can be beneficial to differents fields. Take open data out of the tech world...though this has already happened to some extent.

Teemu R Tarmo Toikkanen on kouluttanut jo vuosia, mitä saa kopioida opetuskäyttöön. Opettajille olisi hyvä tarjota valmiiksi pureskeltuja materiaaleja joihinkin tiettyihin teemoihin tai tarpeisiin. Esim. kirjamessut tarjoavat opettajille valmiita paketteja.
 
 
Pohjaongelma on se, jonka alle ei mene suoraan ohjelmointi tai digitaidot tai avoimen data mahdollisuuksien ymmärtäminen. Tarvitaan pohjalle demokratian ymmärrys, jonka päälle voisi.
 
 
5. lk: Ei vain opettajien kuulu oppia vain sekä opettajien ja oppilaiden yhdessä. Sukupolviajattelu.  Valokuvan ottaminen - mihin tarkoitukseen kuva otetaan? Jos joka päivä otetaan kuva ja laitetaan se Instagramiin, niin tietääkö vanhemmatkaan, mitä se tarkoittaa? Mitä FB:ssä tapahtuu? Instagramiin ei voi laittaa CreativeCommonsia, eli kuvia ei saa käyttää. Mikä olisi vaihtoehto? Pelko menee siihen, että kielletään.
 
 
Miten opetetaan aikuisia ja lapsia myös, että heillä on tekijänoikeus? Miten omaa tekemistä voi antaa niin, että ymmärtää myös että on oikeuksia itse tuotettuun materiaaliin. 
 
Kaikki samat periaatteet mitä yhteiskunnassa pätee, pitäisi päteä myös koulussa. Yksityiskäyttö ja wikipedia käyttö. Nyt voimme julkaista verkossa, kun olemme valinneet nämä kuvat. Nyt sä oot tehnyt tän ja voit laittaa siihen oman lisenssin. Vapaan lisenssin käyttö presiksissä pitäisi olla aina, mutta paljon näkee väärinkäyttöä.
 
Kaisa: voisiko olla oma tapahtuma, johon kutsuttaisiin opettajia ja oppilaita, Heureka?Osallistumista, ei passiivista seuraamista: HOT, Open Source Map, omat jutut ja lisessit, wikipedia. 
 
Koodiviikko - yksi osa? vrt. Prometheus-leirit -> yhteiskuntaoppi, demokratia, sosiaaliset suhteet, ympäristöasiat, seksi ym. Nuorten filosofiatapahtuma voisi olla hyvä. Hands-on työpajana ei Prometheus.
 
GLAM, kiertotalous,... Kaikki nää olisi upeita juttuja opettajille käyttää opetuksessa. Ei laajalti ymmärretä vielä, monelle ei sano vielä mitään. Opettajien ajasta ja jaksamisesta riippuvaista, kuinka lähtevät mukaan.
 
 
 ITK-konffa, täydennyskoulutus. Padit ja niiden sovellukset. Tieto- ja viestintätekniikka opetuksessa: jakautuminen kahteen osaan, historiallinen ja edistyksellinen. Oppilaat, jotka ainoastaan koulun varassa, kuuluvat helposti heikompaan ryhmään, kun osa oppilaista oppii vanhemmiltaan serkuiltaan ja muulta lähipiiriltään. 
 
Teemu R Digiloikka, medialukutaito, osallistuminen, kansalaistiede, datan keruu. Jos henkilötietoja sisältyvää, niin arkaluonteista. Pokemonin tapaiset ulkona tapahtuvat aktiviteetit. Viestintäkasvatuksen seura olisi luonteva kumppani, Helsingin LUMA-keskus, 
Norjassa Hackaton, Mycraft-modausta , mikrobit-chip kännykässä olevia scratseja jne. Tekeminen se juttu, ei pelkkä koodaaminen. YLE: BBC:ltä mallia 
 
Open Education ryhmä pitäisi elvyttää, kontakteja on ja vanhentunut meililista. FB ja G+ryhmät ovat olemassa, mutta melko passiivisia. Nuorten koodiviikko, ITK?  Tero Toivanen, Kaisa, Tarmo...

Tarmo Toikkanen has educated about copy rights. Option to offer teachers ready material packages focused on certain topics and on-demand. Book fairs offer these kind of services. 
 
 Need for background knowledge before data, digi , open data skills- > should teach democracy etc first. 
Educate both the teachers and the students simultaneously. Generation gap. FB, Instagram - what happens with the photos. One can not load Creative Commons to Insta etc. -> uncertainty create the unwanted "censorship" /
 
Teach both adults and children on copyright that they have access to themselves as individuals.  Have rights for material one has produced him/herself.
 
School ethics and principles should follow the same guidelines that in a society in general. Follow the norms. 
 
Private consuming/use and use of Wikipedia. -> "now u have produced this material and can get it under "your own" license. 
/Presentations should be using only material under open licenses. Conventions follow often differently.
 
 Event organised targeting students and teachers @Heureka? Inclusive &participatory workshops: HOT, Open Source Map, own stuff, licenses, wikipedia GLAM, circular economy, -> awesome( extra curriculum?) added content material for teachers. How much resources could be there available for this all? 
 
 Interactive teaching in education conference, updating education , iPads, tablets & software. Information and communication technology in teaching: 2 focus points -> historic and progressive. 
 
 Social status gap- > students who leans on schools for obtaining information vs those who get it from their family etc circles.

Toimintatapa & -materiaali: mitä tavoitteita se saavuttaa ja miten se liittyy OPS:iin? Kunnittain ja kouluttain omat.  Tällä tavoin voit toteuttaa tätä yhteiskuntaopin tavoitetta. 
Tehdään suljettuna liian kauan niin, että kohta ollaan konkurssissa. Datan laadun varmistus vuoden päähän tietysti vaikuttaa. 
 
Tarjotkaa opettajille alusta kokoamiseen ja antakaa oivallusten tulla ajan myötä. Tehdään paljon rinnakkaisia materiaaleja. Opettajien asennemuutos oppimateriaalien jakamiseen...
